The Fondazione Centro Studi sull’Arte Licia e Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti, thanks to the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, for the fourth consecutive year, calls for two scholarships of 10.000 euro each, aimed at researches having as their object the personalities and the works of Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti and Licia Collobi, whose archives has been entirely and recently inventoried.
The applicants will have to propose an original theme of research on Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti or Licia Collobi that is preferably related to archival and/or photographic funds kept at the Fondazione Ragghianti, with particular reference to the relationship between Ragghianti and design, to the activity of Licia Collobi and more in general to the less examined subjects by the scientific production and thus more prone to original reflections and discoveries.
The scholarships are intended for Italian and foreign post-docs (provided with excellent knowledge of the Italian language) who have obtained a PhD in humanistic disciplines after 1 March 2015 and who have not yet reached the age of 45 on the date April 30, 2020.
Applications must be submitted no later than 30 June 2020. The scholarship period will run from 1 October 2020 to 31 May 2021. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, at the time of the emanation of the new call, the reading room of the Fondazione Ragghianti is still closed to the public and the access “in presence” to the archives is not allowed. The starting and ending dates of the scholarships is thus subordinate to the evolution of the health situation, on which the possibility of access to the archives depends. This constitutes an indispensable condition for the completion of researches and work of the scholars. Applicants can contact the Fondazione Ragghianti archive staff directly by sending an email to archivi@fondazioneragghianti.it.
